The Soundtrack To Your Life
The right sound track for your journey is sure to drown out the sounds of the streets and roads, maybe sometimes your passengers, a great conversation alternative for those more awkward, confined moments.
What ever you choose hands free is always best. The Highway Code only allows hands fee and there is a limitation on headphones whilst driving, the first can distracts you and the later can drown out the sounds of the road reducing your awareness to the dangers around you.
Luckily many car hi-fis now come with built in blue-tooth replacing those outdated cassette or CD player systems, allowing you take calls and turn down the music with having to make too many distracting movements.
Unless you own a banger and have not taken advantage of the recent scrappage-scheme, cassettes are almost obsolete. May be you have a CD player or changer? The best option is an MP3 player along with the phone integration you can play your music straight from your phone or your personal MP3 player. No more fumbling around for CDs. You set-up you play list and enjoy your music, get into your tunes. There is nothing more pleasurable. Well may be I am over exaggerating there!
However, there is still substantial demand for CDs and this remain the most popular way to play music in cars today. Not sure about you, but I still retain a huge CD collection and this is only partially transferred to MP3. So my plan is to get with the times and invest in a stereo that allows me to integrate my phone and my MP3 player but allows me to play my CDs.
My only concern is buying something that is not quite suitable or even potentially compatible with my car. I do not fancy buying a whole new car just to take advantage of some of the latest funky technology. Also it may be a good idea purchasing a top of the range car hi fi but what if my new car hi-fi worth more than the car?
The market is flooded with choice. There are so many great car hi-fi products so many options. Depending on what you are looking for whether its LCD screens, support for the various CD formats, Bluetooth MP3 compatible. The choice simply goes on and on an on.
It is always about budget for me. The bang for my buck. I do not want the value of the hi-fi to exceed the value of the car but I do want decent sounds and I am a gadget freak, I do want the latest gizmos; MP3, Bluetooth, LED Display and SAT Nav. all built into one system. Much cheaper that buying some new wheels, much more sensible in these times of austerity.
